Pre-Arrangements
Welcome to the Saxet Funeral Home Prearrangement information page. We are all aware that our economy has seen some difficult times and that we all try to save in every little way that we can. At Saxet Funeral Home, we offer you the opportunity to lock in and "freeze" todays cost of funeral service. Here is a few common questions that you may have about Prearranged Funeral Planning.
What is a Prearranged Funeral Plan?
A prearranged funeral plan is a plan that is designed or arranged in advance, prior to a person's death. A pre-arranged funeral plan can mean many things, most importantly, it means peace of mind. Simply put, you can secure today's prices and provide funding necessary to cover one's funeral expenses at the time of death.
Do I have to pay for the plan in full; will I be paying on the policy for life?
Our policies are offered in various payment terms and options, ranging from 3, 5, 8 and 10 year plans. You can always make your payments for more than the monthly premiums without any complications. Paying the policy off fast will decrease the amount of interest that you will pay over the span of the contract. We offer both insured and non-insured products. For more information on our prearranged plans, please contact one of our pre-need service agents.
But I have life insurance, wouldn't this be enough?
Although having life insurance is a good supplement to a pre-funded funeral plan, general life insurance does not lock in or "freeze" the cost of the funeral provided. Once you purchase a prearranged plan, the guaranteed items such as the funeral home services and merchandise that are selected are locked in. For example, if you purchase $5,500 in services/merchandise today, and you pass away in 2045, the total amount of services and merchandise selected would then be $12,000. With a prearranged funeral plan, your family will have saved $6,500. Insurance would only pay for a certain amount depending on coverage.
